Matilda was the daughter of David and Barbara (BYERS) JACOBS, and the older sister of my Susan JACOBS. Matilda married on April 27, 1847 in Wayne County, Ohio to George COOK. George was born June 11, 1818 in York County, Pennsylvania. I do not have his parentage. They had 5 children. George died September 14, 1887 in Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. Matilda died May 27, 1892 in Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas.

Minerva was the daughter of Francis S. and Rebecca (PAGE) PIERCE, and the younger sister of my Edmund G. PIERCE. Minerva was born December 6, 1846 in Indiana. Daniel was born May 1844 in Indiana, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (SHANK) PIERCE. Daniel was a physician in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana. They had 3 children. Minerva died August 31, 1902 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana and is buried in the Elwood City Cemetery. I do not have a death date for Daniel.
My paternal 5th-great granduncle, Elisha CHEW, was married on this date in 1794 to Mary SPRINGER. Elisha was the son of Rev. Jesse and Mary (RICHARDS) CHEW, and the younger brother of my Nathaniel CHEW. Elisha was born October 5, 1776 in New Jersey. I do not have dates of birth or parentage of Mary SPRINGER. David was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (SHAW) KING, and the older brother of my Ellen KING. David married Litha Ann Trumilis D'Amsel MAY, daughter of Michael and Julie (CAWTHORN) MAY on July 26, 1876 in Frankton, Madison County, Indiana. Litha was born June 1856 in Indiana. They lived in Pipe Creek and Monroe Townships of Madison County, Indiana where David farmed and operated a grain elevator. David died November 1, 1914 in Frankton, Madison County, Indiana. Litha remarried to John PERCIFUL and died September 1954 in Madison County, Indiana.
My maternal 3rd-great grandaunt, Lydia MAXSON, was born on this date in 1799 in Harrison County, Virginia. Lydia was the daughter of Jesse and Sarah (SUTTON) MAXSON, and the older sister of my Prudence MAXSON. Lydia married on May 22, 1817 to Jacob BABCOCK, son of Thomas and Martha (DAVIS) BABCOCK. Jacob was born April 25, 1797 in Salem, Harrison County, Virginia. They had at least one son. Jacob died January 2, 1835. Lydia remarried to Caleb AYERS. Jacob Borror / Boyer (1763-1804)
Jacob BORROR / BOYER (1763-1804) is Corinne's maternal 6th-great grandfather. He was born circa 1763 in Hardy County, Virginia (now West Virginia), purportedly the son of another Jacob Borror. The family surname became Boyer by the time they came into Warrick and Vanderburgh Cos., Indiana.
Jacob is believed to have married circa 1788 to Magdalene STRADER (1767-1838), the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier, Christopher STRADER. Magdalene was born August 26, 1767 in Hampshire County, Virginia and died September 15, 1838 in Jackson Township, Franklin County, Ohio. Magdalene is purported to be buried in the Scioto Cemetery at Borrors Corners near Columbus, Ohio.
Jacob died June 2, 1804 in North Mill Creek, Hardy County, Virginia. One source states that he is buried in the Strader Cemetery, near Austin, Ross County, Ohio. Surely they didn't re-inter his body! Three of Jacob's sons, Martin, Jacob and Solomon moved to Franklin County, Ohio in 1809 and Jacob's widow, Magdalene, followed in 1811. They may have settled on bounty land from Magdalene's father's service during the Revolutionary War.
Most of this information remains unverified and comes from a single source - a family group sheet received back in 1992.
