Wedding Wednesday : LeMaster - Marshall Engagement

Located the following engagement announcement in the archives of the Ball State University Daily News for my paternal first cousin once removed, Stanley LeMaster Jr.

Engagement Announced
Mrs. Marjorie Marshall announces the engagement of her daughter Lillian to Technical Sergeant Stanley LeMaster, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley LeMaster of Akron, Ohio.  Miss Marshall is a graduate of Economy High School, Economy, Ind., and at present is on a fouryear nursing course here at Ball State and Ball Memorial Hospital.  Sgt. LeMaster is a graduate of Akron High School, Akron, Ohio.  He is a waist gunner on a bomber in the Army Air Corps and has just returned from active duty oversears.  He is  now stationed at Santa Anna, California.

Stanley Duey LeMaster, my paternal first cousin once removed, was the son of Stanley Duey and Anna (Beard) LeMaster.

1665 - Francis JEWETT born in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.  Francis was the son of Ezekiel JEWETT and Faith PARRAT.  Francis was my 8x great-grandfather.


1677 - Col. Samuel CHEW died in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.  Samuel was the son of John CHEW and Sarah GALE.


1724 - Hannah TAYLOR born.  Hannah was the daughter of Col. James TAYLOR and Martha THOMPSON.


1758 - John GRUBB died in Wilmington, Delaware.  John was the son of John GRUBB and Frances VANE.


1786 - Absalom SUMNER born in Stokes County, North Carolina.  Absalom was the son of Thomas SUMNER and Hannah HIATT.


1763 - Samuel MAXSON married Mary DOWNING.  Samuel was the son of Jonathan MAXSON and Content ROGERS.


1797 - Samuel WOOLSTON born in Burlington County, New Jersey.  Samuel was the son of Samuel WOOLSTON and Hannah HAINES.


1816 - Rebecca HAINES died in Burlington County, New Jersey.  Rebecca was the daughter of Robert HAINES and Rachel VENICOMB.


1831 - Jane LEMASTERS married Thomas McVAY in Shelby County, Ohio.  Jane was the daughter of Jacob LEMASTERS and Hannah ________.


1831 - Chester PIERCE married Abigail MARSH.  Chester PIERCE was the son of Samuel PIERCE and Persis BARROWS.


1842 - Rebecca CAMPBELL married Joshua HALL in Knightstown, Henry County, Indiana.  Rebecca was the daughter of William CAMPBELL and Elizabeth McPHEETERS.


1848 - Henry Thomas HIGGINS born in Bond County, Illinois.  Henry was the son of John HIGGINS and Lucinda ALDERMAN.


1851 - John HIGGINS born in Flemington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  John was the daughter of Judiah H. HIGGINS and Mary HILL.


1854 - Mary BURR died.  Mary was the daughter of John HILLIER and Frances HAINES.


1864 - Sarah MARSHALL died in Strawberry Point, Iowa.  Sarah was the daughter of Ephraim MAXSON and Mary SMITH.


1880 - John ALDERMAN married Louisa SALISBURY in Bond County, Illinois.  John was the son of William Perry ALDERMAN and Elizabeth Ann LEE.


1898 - Mary C. MARKLEY died in Brown County, Ohio.  Mary was the daughter of James Thomas JACOBS and Isabella FEILY.


1902 - Florence Helen LeMASTERS born in Ord, Valley County, Nebraska.  Florence was the daughter of Charles Clinton LeMASTERS and Maude TURNER.


1931 - Job MATTHEWS died.  Job was the son of Job MATTHEWS and Christina BOYER.


1941 - Minnie P. POWELL died in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.  Minnie was the daughter of Christopher SILLS and Samantha SHELLY.
