Thomas A. Fox Family - Madison Co., IN

Today I sourced the census records I found for the Thomas A. Fox family of Madison Co., IN. Thomas was married to my 2nd great-aunt, Daisy L. Wright. I discovered a few interesting facts that I didn't know previously by looking at the census records in 1900 & 1910 in Van Buren & Pipe Creek Twps., respectively, of Madison Co., IN.

First off, Thomas' name was not Thompson, as I originally had in my notes. In the 1900 census, he states both of his parents were born in North Carolina - in 1910, his father is born in Indiana and his mother was from North Carolina. Also, one daughter appears as Helen L. in the 1900 census and then as Laura H. in the 1910 census.

I do not have a record yet of the family in the 1920 census. By 1930, Daisy is a widow, so Thomas must have died between 1910-1930, probably in Madison Co., IN.

Today's featured relative in my database is my paternal 4th great-grandmother, Barbara Byers.

Barbara was born January 5, 1798 in Warrington Twp., York Co., PA., the daughter of Abraham and Mary (Stickel) Byers. Barbara married circa 1817 in Warrington Twp., York Co., PA to David Jacobs, son of Michael and Margaret (________) Jacobs. David was born October 3, 1796 in York Co., PA and died June 20, 1857 in Wayne Co., OH.
