Jacob J. Haley Family - Allen Co., OH

Today I sourced the census data for the Jacob J. Haley family in the 1900 census of Allen Co., OH. The family was living in the 4th ward of the city of Lima. Jacob was my paternal 2nd great-granduncle.

The family apparently moved between Indiana and Ohio around 1898, as most of their children were born in Indiana. Many of the Haley family were in Jay Co., IN., so I need to check there for the 1880 census. Jacob was the son of George J. and Rachel (Gary) Haley.

Frederick Haley Family - Jay Co., IN

Today I sourced the 1860 & 1870 census records for the Frederick Haley family in Noble Twp., Jay Co., IN. Frederick was the brother of my 3rd-great grandfather, George J. Haley.

Frederick was a farmer and moved his family from Ohio around 1847-1848, in between the births of sons Samuel and Harvey. In the 1870 census, it is his wife, Elizabeth, who has the estate value, either she owned it or this was a transcription error. I have not traced the family beyond the 1870 census yet.
