Today I finished sourcing the census data for the Hiram B. Harter family in the 1870, 1900 & 1910 census of Jay Co., IN. Hiram married my paternal 2nd-great grandaunt, Elizabeth Wehrly.
Hiram's occupation was a farmer, a spoke cutter and a railroad watchman in the census records. His wife, Elizabeth, died in 1890, so he was living with his son-in-law, Joseph Brandon in the 1900 & 1910 census. Interestingly, Joseph was a contemporary of Hiram's.
