Today I sourced the census data for the John M. Johnson family in the 1900-1920 census of Madison Co., IN. John & his family lived in Richland township. John married Martha Pierce, my maternal 2nd great grandaunt.
The 1900 census records that Martha was the mother of 6 children, only 5 who were living. I have yet to identify the 6th child. John was a farmer, and by the 1920 census, only their youngest son John was living with them, helping to run the farm. I have not yet tracked down all of the children in the census records.
