Charles Morton Poe household - Phillips Co., KS

The family of Charley M. POE appears in the 1900 census of Phillipsburg Twp., Phillips Co., KS in the 1900 census. Charles was my maternal 3rd-great granduncle, the son of Isaac S. and Hannah (MILLS) POE.

In the 1900 census, Charley was aged 33, married for 10 years, and working as a "Calking mech." This occupation is illegible to me. His wife, Minnie, was aged 26 years, born in Iowa, with her father born in New York and her mother from Wisconsin. Their daughter, Lela, aged 6, was born in Kansas.

Charles Morton POE b. April 4, 1866 Morgan Co., IN., d. after 1900 census, m. ca. 1890 to Minnie [_____]. Minnie was born April 1874 Iowa, d. after after 1900 census.
Known children of Charles Morton and Minnie (_____) POE :
i. Lela POE b. June 1893 Kansas, d. after 1900 census

Charles Morton Poe married Minnie Elizabeth Shimeall on 6 March 1889 at Norton, Norton Co., KS. Minnie Shimeall was the half sister of my grandfather. She was born 18 Apr 1872 at Hopkinton, Delaware Co., IA and died 5 Feb 1950 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA. I believe that she and Charles Morton Poe were divorced before 1920 as she was living under her maiden name in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO listed as working as a "Concert Singer." Charles Morton Poe was listed on the 1920 Lancaster Co., NE census and married to Leona M. (Poe).

Minnie Shimeall was the daughter of Clark Floyd and Salina Madalien (Newcomb) Shimeall. Clark Floyd Shimeall is my great grandfather.
