Two From Portland To Tour With Choir

Portland - Idola LeMaster and Glen Priest of Portland are members of the Earlham College Concert Choir which will present programs in four Indiana communities and in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois on its annual Spring Concert Tour which begins March 27.

The Richmond collegiate musicians will open their tour with a concert at 7:30 p.m., March 27 at the First Friends church in Indianapolis.

Sunday, March 29 they will sing for the morning worship service at The Chicago Meetinghouse and in the evening at the Evanston Meeting of Friends.

The choir will present a secular program at Peru high school Monday afternoon, March 30 and a sacred and secular program at The Union Street Friends Meeting, Kokomo, in the evening.

Tuesday evening they will complete their tour by giving a concert at The First Methodist Church, Fort Wayne.

The Earlham choir members last year were chosen to sing with the Cincinnati Symphony under the direction of Thor Johnson and will make their second appearance with this symphony in an April concert.

They also will present a television program over WLW-T in May.  The group has been popular performers on both radio and television.  They have sung for a number of Friends meetings in Indiana and annually take a concert tour.

Pearl Lambertson's 89th Birthday Anniversary

BETHANY - Mr. and Mrs. John Barger and family entertained with a family reunion at their home in honor of Mrs. Barger's aunt, Mrs. Pearl Lambertson's eighty-ninth birthday anniversary. A pitch-in dinner was the highlight of the noon hour. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lambertson of Weingate, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lambertson, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest VanNess, Mrs. Lena Fetz, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lambertson and son, Ronald, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Priest, Lynn Priest and Ronald Priest, all of Elwood; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hershberger, all of Summittville; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hornell and sons Jimmy and Mike, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fisher, all of Lapel; Mr. and Mrs. Clemon Lambetson, Charles Barger, the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. John Barger and children, Valerie and Brent.

Elwood Couple Sets Wedding

Elwood - Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lambertson have announced marriage of their daughter, Cecilia Marie Lambertson, to PFC Jerry Priest, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Priest of Elwood.

The wedding will be performed at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the First Baptist Church.

Attendants of the couple will be Miss Susan Reynolds, maid of honor; Miss Brenda Joyce Heflin and Miss Joyce Ann Hoover, bridesmaids; Billie Groover, flowergirl; Ronald Lambertson, ring bearer; Charles Riser, best man, and John Wheeler, Darrell Murry, Billy Priest and Rod Birkenbine, ushers.

Following the ceremony a reception will be held in the church basement.
