Ahnetafel # 50: Charles Schaeffer (aft1853-aft1880).  Charles was born circa 1853 in Louisiana, according to the census.  He married Mary Victoria Rieber (c1853-1883).  Mary was born circa 1853 in Indiana.  They had 6 children born in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.  Mary died September 16, 1883 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.


Ahnentafel # 100: Peter Schaeffer (c1811-1930).  Peter was born circa 1811 in Bavaria.  He married Marianne Grossmann (c1816-1895).  Marianne was born circa 1816 in Bavaria.  Peter was a saloon keeper in Cincinnati, Ohio and Evansville, Indiana.  They had at least 3 children.  Marianne died December 16, 1895 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.  Peter died April 1, 1903 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

Obituary : Clara (Moulton) Metzner

METZNER - Clara Metzner, nee Moulton, was born Sept. 30, 1843 and departed this life near Portland, Ind., July 4, 1899, aged 55 y., 9 m. and 3 d.  She was married to Adam Metzner Nov. 13, 1864; to this union were born 4 children.  In 1885 Bro. and Sister Metzner united with the Evangelical Association.  They lived as devoted Christians until death.  A son and daughter are left to mourn the loss of a Christian mother.  The husband and 2 children preceded her in death.  J.M. SMITH.

Clara Moulton (1843-1899) was the daughter of Albert and Emeline (PHILBRICK) MOULTON, believed to have been born in Licking County, Ohio.  Her marriage to John Adam Metzner took place in Jay County, Indiana.  The names of their children were: Cora Belle, Willis A.L., Wesley F., and Lewis.  Her husband died December 4, 1895.  The surviving children were Cora and Wesley.  Jay County Death records list her death date as July 2, 1899.

1780: Susanna MAXSON born in Hopkington, Rhode Island.  Susanna was the daughter of John MAXSON and Darcis NILES.


1781: Martha HIGGINS born in Amwell, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  Martha was the daughter of Judiah H. HIGGINS and Mary HILL.


1796: Margery CANADAY married Joel HARRIS.  Margarey was the daughter of Charles CANADAY and Abigail FOSTER.


1798: Thomas HUNT born.  Thomas was the son of Isaiah HUNT and Elizabeth FLOYD.


1800: Ann PAUL died.  Ann was the daughter of Jeffrey CHEW and Amy DRIVER.

1806: Robert CANADAY married Amy SUMNER.  Robert was the son of John CANADAY and Margaret THORNBURGH.


1820: Sarah DAVIS born.  Sarah was the daughter of Ananais DAVIS and Rebecca CLAYTON.


1821: Mary MAXSON born.  Mary was the daughter of Zebulon MAXSON and Mary DAVIS.


1834: Thomas COOK died.  Thomas was the son of Thomas COOK and Mary MILLS.


1845: Mary TEMPLE died.  Mary was the daughter of William BEALS and Rachel GREEN.


1852: Sarah Ellen CROCKETT born in Owen County, Indiana.  Sarah was the daughter of Jackson Conrad CROCKETT and Clarinda GRIFFITHS.


1861: Mathias MILLER born in Indiana.  Mathias was the son of William MILLER and Elizabeth SCHAFER.  He was Corinne's 2x great-grandfather.

1913: Hazel BRIODY born.  Hazel was the daughter of Sylvester Tilman BRIODY and Eva May CHIVLARE.


1917: Laura Belle METZNER married Paul L. SANDERS in Jay County, Indiana. Laura was the daughter of William F. METZNER and Mary Ann HALEY.


1923: Louise Elaine LeMASTER born in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio.  Louise was the daughter of Vernon Walker LeMASTER and Helene Louise GARMHAUSEN.


1931: Ardis Ellen LeMASTER born in Cowan, Delaware County, Indiana.  Ardis was the daughter of John Leland LeMASTER and Dortha LeEtta DeLAUTER.


1946: Clara BUTLER died in San Diego, San Diego County, California.  Clara was the daughter of Isaac LEMASTERS and Sarah Ann HESTON.


2004: Luther St. Patrick CUMMINGS died in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.  He was my father-in-law.
