Luman Cooper LeMasters (1867-1933)

Luman Cooper LeMASTERS was my paternal great-grandfather. His surname has been found spelled both as LeMASTER and LeMASTERS, and he capitalized the 'm'.

The following facts about Luman's life are known:

  • Marriage: He married Barbara Isabel WEHRLY on November 13, 1886 in Jay County, Indiana.

The following facts need further research and/or documentation to complete my research:

  • Census: Need to locate him in the 1870 census, should be in the household of Luman Walker LEMASTERS, probably in Jay County, Indiana.
  • Census: Need to locate him in the 1880 census, should be in the household of Luman Walker LEMASTERS, probably in Jay County, Indiana.
  • Census: Need to document him in the 1900 census, I show him there, but have not added the source information to my database.
  • Marriage: Need to locate a copy of his marriage license in Jay County, Indiana. Should be located at the Jay County Clerk's office.
  • Death: Need to locate a copy of his death certificate from the Jay County Health Department.
  • Will: Although I have a copy of his will, I've neglected to document the exact location of this record in Jay County. Need to go back and document so that others can follow the research.
