Pearl May (Beals) Lambertson (1878-1970)

Pearl May (BEALS) LAMBERTSON (1878-1970) was my maternal 2nd-great grandmother. The BEALS line is an old Quaker line, stretching back from Indiana through Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

The following facts about Pearl's life are known:
  • Birth: She was born May 11, 1878 in Westfield, Hamilton County, Indiana, the daughter of Nathan Thomas and Elizabeth Caroline (POE) BEALS.
  • Census: 1880 - She appears in the Nathan BEALS household in Humboldt, Richardson County, Nebraska.
  • Census: 1885 - State census: She appears in the Nathan BEALS household in Humboldt, Richardson County, Nebraska.
  • Marriage: She married Charles Wilson LAMBERTSON on April 18, 1897 in Hamilton County, Indiana.
  • Census: 1900 - She appears in the Charles LAMBERTSON household in Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana.
  • Census: 1910 - She appears in the Charles LAMBERTSON household in Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana.
  • Census: 1920 - She appears in the Charles LAMBERTSON household in the 3rd Ward of Elwood, Madison County, Indiana.
  • Census: 1930 - She appears in the Charles LAMBERTSON household in Sharpsville, Tipton County, Indiana.
  • Residence: 1936-1940 - She is listed as resident of Greentown, Howard County, Indiana in city directories.
  • Residence: 1952-1954 - She is listed as a resident of Elwood, Madison County, Indiana in city directories.
  • Death: She died August 3, 1970 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana.
  • Obituary: August 4, 1970 - Her obituary appeared in the Elwood Call-Leader of Elwood, Madison County, Indiana.
  • Obituary: August 4, 1970 - Her obituary appeared in the Anderson Daily Bulletin of Anderson, Madison County, Indiana.
  • Burial: She is buried in the Cicero City Cemetery, Cicero, Hamilton County, Indiana.

Was just reading your blog posts, and I see you have some Beals in your lines. There are Beals in Sumner County, Kansas, as well. I've been indexing the Pioneer Settler Records, and just went through that file a couple of weeks ago. Just in case you find any branches that ended up here!

Thanks, Sherry. I don't know of any of this BEALS line that came to Sumner County, KS - but they could be related. My BEALS line was originally of the Quaker faith and spread out quite a bit.
