Boater Bales (1838-1900) was the son of Aaron and Susannah (Russell) Bales. His first name is likely a corruption of the Quaker surname Bowater. However, it is clearly spelled Boader Bales in the marriage record found in Henry County, Indiana on March 24, 1864 in the database. His wife's name is spelled 'Suphrona' Cory, rather than Saphrona Cory, which is how I had her in the database. Prior to this find, I had the date of their marriage, but not the place.
