1720 - Martha FESSENDEN born in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Martha was the daughter of William FESSENDEN and Martha WYETH.


1728 - Elizabeth ALLEN born.  Elizabeth was the daughter of John ALLEN and Amy COX.


1796 - Mary Polly ALDERMAN born.  Mary was the daughter of James ALDERMAN and Catherine WARNER.


1872 - Norton YOUNG married Delilah BRUNTHAVER.  Norton was the son of Noah YOUNG and Orlintha BROWN.

1750 - Joseph CRANDALL died in Westerly, Rhode Island.  Joseph was the son of Joseph CRANDALL and Deborah BURDICK.

Ahnentafel # 13: Edna Muriel Pierce (1897-1968).  Edna was born February 7, 1897 in Madison County, Indiana.  She married June 19, 1915 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana to Virgil Lee Wright (1894-1972).  Virgil was born July 6, 1894 in Orestes, Madison County, Indiana.  They raised three children in Monroe Township, Madison County, Indiana where Virgil was a farmer.  Edna's nickname was "Peach".  Virgil died March 25, 1972 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana.  Edna died March 3, 1968 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana.  Both are buried in the Park View Cemetery, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana.

Family Milestones: September 14th

My paternal granduncle, Charles L. HALEY, was born on this date in 1902 in Jay County, Indiana.  Charles was the son of Eli Weldon and Cora Belle (METZNER) HALEY, and the older brother of my Ruth Pauline HALEY.  Charles died February 27, 1903 in Jay County, Indiana and is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Jay County, Indiana.


My paternal 6th-great granduncle, Jeremiah HAINES, was born on this date in 175 1 in Burlington County, New Jersey.  Jeremiah was the son of Jeremiah and Hannah (BONNELL) HAINES, and the younger brother of my Robert HAINES.  Jeremiah married April 26, 1775 in Burlington County, New Jersey to Mary HANN. Mary's parentage and dates of birth and death are unknown.  Jeremiah died June 15, 1776.  Nothing further is known at this time.


My maternal 5th-great grandaunt, Lucinda PIERCE, was born on this date in 1769.  Lucinda was the daughter of Seth and Bethiah (FIELD) PIERCE, and the older sister of my Gordon PIERCE.  Lucinda married on November 27, 1788 to Thomas WELCH.  Thomas was born February 17, 1757.  They had 11 children.  Thomas died March 20, 1832.  Lucinda died January 25, 1854 in Enfield, Connecticut.

My paternal 5th-great grandfather, Cornelius SUTTON, married on this date in 1806 in Harrison County, Virginia to Elisabeth DAVIS.  Cornelius was the son of Amos and Jane (CLAWSON) SUTTON.  Elisabeth was the daughter of Thomas William and Tacy (CRANDALL) DAVIS.  Cornelius was born October 29, 1750 in New Jersey.  Elisabeth was born in 1746 in New Jersey.  Elisabeth died 1807 in New Salem, Virginia.  Cornelius died September 30, 1850 in West Union, Doddridge County, Virginia.  


My maternal 5th-great granduncle, Bennett PIERCE, was born on this date in 1771.  Bennett was the son of Seth and Bethiah (FIELD) PIERCE, and the older brother of my Gordon PIERCE.  Bennett died March 17, 1773.  Nothing further is known at this time.


My maternal 5th-great grandaunt, Elizabeth PIERCE, was born on this date in 1788.  Elizabeth was the daughter of Seth and Bethiah (FIELD) PIERCE, and the younger sister of my Gordon PIERCE.  Elizabeth married Chester COLLINS.  Nothing further is known at this time.


My maternal great-grandaunt, Lillian PIERCE, was born on this date in 1902 in Madison County, Indiana.  Lillian was the daughter of William Francis and Clara (PENISTEN) PIERCE, and the younger sister of my Edna Muriel PIERCE. Lillian died August 11, 1921 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana.  


My maternal 6th-great grandfather, Seth PIERCE, was born on this date in 1744 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.  Seth was the son of Seth and Elizabeth (NYE) PIERCE.  Seth married April 17, 1767 to Bethiah FIELD, daughter of Bennett and Elizabeth (SPOFFORD) FIELD.  Bethiah was born April 8, 1746 in Stafford, Windham County, Connecticut.  They had 12 children.  Bethiah died September 18, 1807.  Seth died in 1835 in Homer, Cortland County, New York.

My maternal 3rd-great granduncle, Albert Orlando PIERCE, was born on this date in 1839 in Wayne County, Indiana. Albert was the son of Francis S. and Rebecca (PAGE) PIERCE, and the younger brother of my Edmund G. PIERCE.  Albert married December 10, 1863 in Wayne County, Indiana to Elizabeth Williams PIKE, daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (WILLIAMS) PIKE.  Elizabeth was born circa 1844 in Indiana and died March 25, 1883 in Wayne County, Indiana.  They had 5 children.  Albert married secondly April 22, 1884 in Wayne County, Indiana to Sarah S. Both are buried in the Columbia Cemetery, Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado.

BEALS and Mary DAVIS, were married on this date in 1848 in Westfield, Hamilton County, Indiana.  John was born June 25, 1827 in Clinton County, Ohio, the son of Nathan C. and Elizabeth (CHEW) BEALS.  Mary's birth was recorded 9th month, 9th day of 1825 at Holly Spring Monthly Meeting, Randolph County, North Carolina.  They had 6 children and lived in Washington Township, Hamilton County, Indiana.  John served in the 101st Regiment, Indiana Volunteers where he mustered out as a 1st Lieutenant.  Mary died July 18, 1909 in Cicero, Hamilton County, Indiana.  John died September 18, 1917 in Sheridan, Hamilton County, Indiana.  Both are buried in the Summit Lawn Cemetery, Westfield, Hamilton County, Indiana.

My maternal great-grandaunt, Leona D. LAMBERTSON, married on this date in 1968 to Joseph CARPENTER.  Leona was born August 20, 1904 in Hamilton County, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Wilson and Pearl May (BEALS) LAMBERTSON, and the younger sister of my Clemon Beals LAMBERTSON.  Joseph was born December 22, 1907 in Windfall, Tipton County, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Myrtle (________) CARPENTER.  Leona's first husband, Clarence Everett FETZ, had passed away in 1964.  Joseph died April 29, 1968 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana.  Leona died July 12, 1988.

My maternal 5th-great granduncle, Seth PIERCE, was born on this date in 1784, probably in Worchester, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.  Seth was the son of Seth and Bethiah (FIELD) PIERCE, and the younger brother of my Gordon PIERCE.  Nothing further is known.

Family Milestones: February 8th

My maternal 5th-great granduncle, Elijah PIERCE, married on this date in 1801 to Patty MOULTON.  Elijah was the son of Seth and Bethiah (FIELD) PIERCE, and the younger brother of my Gordon PIERCE.  Elijah was born April 27, 1781.  Patty was born February 5, 1782.  They had at least 5 children.  Patty died April 17, 1838.  Elijah died April 7, 1832.  

My paternal grandaunt, Dorothy Dot LeMASTER, married on this date in 1962 to Glen LOCK.  Dorothy's first husband, Charles Glendon HUNT, had died February 11, 1956 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.  I do not have dates of birth or death for Glen.  Dorothy was born March 19, 1900 in Salamonia, Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Luman Cooper and Barbara Isabel (WEHRLY) LeMASTERS.  Dorothy died October 1984 in Centerville, Wayne County, Indiana.

My maternal 5th-great grandmother, Mary Ann NOSLER, married on this date in 1855 in Owen County, Indiana to John LAYMAN.  Mary Ann's first husband, David CROCKETT, had died August 1854 in Owen County, Indiana.  I do not have dates of birth or death for John.  Mary Ann was born March 26, 1803 in Virginia, the daughter of Conrad and Sarah (PAINS) NOSLER. Mary Ann died August 7, 1872 in Owen County, Indiana.

My maternal 2nd-great grandaunt, Mary Jane KING, married on this date in 1871 in Madison County, Indiana to Leroy YOUNG.  Mary Jane was born December 8, 1849 in Orestes, Madison County, Indiana, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (SHAW) KING, and the older sister of my Ellen KING.  Leroy was born November 14, 1843 in Indiana, the son of William and Jane (________) YOUNG.  They raised at least 3 children in Monroe Township, Madison County, Indiana.  Leroy died March 26, 1893 in Orestes, Madison County, Indiana.  Mary Jane died April 4, 1935 in Orestes, Madison County, Indiana.

My paternal 2nd-great grandaunt, Catherine B. SHERRICK, was born on this date in 1847 in Ashland County, Ohio.  Catherine was the daughter of David and Susan (JACOBS) SHERRICK, and the younger sister of my Mary Jane SHERRICK.  Catherine married Eli L. OVERS.  I do not have dates of birth or death for Eli.  Catherine died August 30, 1928 in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio.
