Selah was born October 28, 1790 in Rutland County, Vermont. They raised 9 children in Rutland County, Vermont and Licking County, Ohio. He died February 1848 in St. Albans, Licking County, Ohio. Lydia died December 3, 1869 in Licking County, Ohio. They are both buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Licking County, Ohio.
