1678 - John SPOFFORD died in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.  John was the son of John SPOFFORD.  John was my 10x-great grandfather.

1683 - Thomas PIERCE died in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.  Thomas was the son of Thomas PIERCE and Elizabeth ________.  Thomas was my 10x-great grandfather.

1686 - Rose HIGGINS born.  Rose was the daughter of Jedediah HIGGINS and Mary NEWBOLD.

1702 - Joseph WILLETS married Deborah SEAMAN in Hempstead, Long Island, New York.  Deborah was the daughter of John SEAMAN and Maria MOORE.  They were my 9x-great grandparents.

1717 - Hannah BROUGHTON married Humphrey BALLARD.  Hannah was the daughter of John BROUGHTON and Hannah BASCOM.

1745 - Ruth PIERCE born.  Ruth was the daughter of Samuel PIERCE and Abigail ________.

1782 - Eleazer HUNT married Lydia WORLEY in Guilford County, North Carolina.  Eleazer was the son of William HUNT and Sarah MILLS.

1859 - Miles CHEVALIER married Louisa Jane BOYER.  Louisa was the daughter of Christopher C. BOYER and Nancy Ann McCOOL.  They were Corinne's 3x-great grandparents.

1883 - Barb M. METZNER born in Jay County, Indiana.  Barb was the daughter of William F. METZNER and Mary Ann HALEY.

1883 - Pearl M. METZNER born in Jay County, Indiana.  Pearl was the daughter of William F. METZNER and Mary Ann HALEY.

1907 - John THOMPSON died in Davis County, Iowa.  John was the son of Joseph THOMPSON and Amy BEALS.

1962 - James Grover SWAFFORD died in Richmond, Missouri.  James was the son of Thomas A. SWAFFORD and Lora E. McCANDLESS.

1977 - Jessie Helen WEDDLE died in Fresno, California.  Jessie was the daughter of Landon Marcellus SWAFFORD and Bertie Bell MARSH.

1996 - Hugh Lee BURCHFIEL died.  Hugh was the son of Robert Burrell BURCHFIEL and Julia Bell BRUNER.

1771 - Mordecai MENDENHALL married Hannah MARSHALL in Orange County, North Carolina.  Mordecai was the son of Mordecai MENDENHALL and Charity BEESON.

1953 - Wesley F. METZNER died in Portland, Jay County, Indiana.  Wesley was the son of John Adam METZNER and Clara MOULTON.

1965 - Lucille HERSHEY died.  Lucille was the daughter of John McLANE and Lillie Mae McGUFFEY.

1976 - Andrew SWAFFORD died in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.  Andrew was the son of John Marlin SWAFFORD and Octavia Elmira HAYES.

1979 - Mattie Ault SWEAT died in Bledsoe County, Tennessee.  Mattie was the daughter of Anderson LEE and Louisa Jane BRANHAM.

Sentimental Sunday : News and Notes

The Tiger's Tale was our student newspaper at Alexandria-Monroe High School in Alexandria, Indiana.  I came across this story in a copy of the newspaper that I had saved from my school days.  Am planning to donate the copies of the newspaper along with other photographs to the local historical society.

I can remember the computer class at Ball State University, and believe there is a photograph of the whole group somewhere.  At the time, I was promised that completing the course would earn me some college credit.  However, the course never appeared on my college transcripts.
